Safuwan To Return To Selangor This Week

Selangor FC midfielder Safuwan Baharudin will return to Malaysia this week after undergoing cerebral concussion rehabilitation treatment in Singapore.

The Singapore-born player suffered the injury against PJ City FC in the 2021 Super League in early May, after suffering a blow to the head following a clash with an opponent.

He was taken to Ara Damansara Hospital after being removed from the game to get a computer tomography scan accompanied by Dr. Vijayan (team doctor) and Helber Richard (team physiotherapist) to ensure no more serious injuries.

After examination, Safuwan was confirmed not to have suffered any brain injury and only had to undergo symptomatic treatment for a few months until he fully recovered.

The injury has also forced him to forget his desire to play with The Lions for the recent AFC 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers and the 2023 Asian Cup.

According to Dr. Vijayan again, Safuwan has had a good recovery session in Singapore and he is expected to return to training with the team this July.

Get well soon, Safuwan!

Demi kebanggaan.
